Last night I was in a bad mood, and I got mad at Eric for no reason. Eric, being the good husband he is, took both kids to Hayden's T-Ball game, and gave me a break. When they came home, Hayden came up to my room, and this was our conversation:
Hayden: "Are you mad at me?"
Me: "No, of course not!"
Hayden: "Are you mad at dad?"
Me: "A little."
Hayden: "Why are you mad at dad?"
Me: "Because he thinks I'm ornery."
Hayden: "Well, AREN'T YOU?"

Kids say the darnest things....We love you Brandy. There is a saying if mama ain't happy no nobody is happy!!! I use to have it hanging in my kitchen.
As women, we reserve the right to be occasionally ornery! Sheeesh.
I love Hayden's comment and the emphasis on the "aren't you?" Hehehehe.
I tell my boys that the reason I get grumpy at night is that I turn into a witch at 10pm. Yeah, I know...why are they still up!!?? One night I was grumpier a little too early, and I heard Cameron say to Aaron, "It must be getting close to 10 o'clock."
"Wow" you girls make me smile....
Next, Hayden will be telling Eric that he needs to do better at speaking your "love language" so that you aren't ornery. (reference the book, 'The Five Love Languages')
Don't worry Brandi, my kids have heard Nick tell me I am feisty so many times that now Sam will call me feisty anytime I tell her no. Your the Ornery Mom and I am the Feisty Mom! What Titles!
LOL!!!! That is so cute and so Hayden, he is so cute! I love it. From the mouth of babes!
Looks like you have the best marriage counselor in town! I was laughing when I was reading it... he seems to have quite the quick wit! I also love your mummy's, you are so creative and I love how you are willing to try something new! What material did you make them out of ? I am impressed!
