One of the ideas was these little nature pals. First, you go on a "fall" walk with your children and gather pine cones and acorns and other items that could be used to make a nature creature. Afterwards, you get creative and glue everything together to make your guys. My kids had fun putting them together, but I think they enjoyed the walk more. It's always more fun when you're looking for the signs of fall! I totally loved that part, too!

What a fun activity, and so creative. I need to subscribe to that magazine. I am always looking for new ideas to get me out of the house and Maisey would love some activities. Although she may be too small for this now I will have to write it down and do it next year when she is bigger. SO fun!!!
Yummy, thanks for the recipes. I am always looking for good recipes and these look delicious. Plus, I LOVE sugar cookies and this is the perfect time of year to do some fun pumpkin and halloween shaped cookies. Thanks Brandi. Also, the pics of your kids are so cute. They are getting so big. Are they excited to have a new baby brother or sister? I'm predicting a baby boy...keep us updated!
Kelsey, You totally should order the Family Fun magazine. I've been getting it since Hayden was 11 months and they have lots of ideas for toddlers also! I love it!
Jen, definitely try the sugar cookies. You won't regret it. And Hayden is excited for a new baby, but Maya has no idea. Reality probably won't sink in for them until the baby is here. It won't sink in for me until then either, probably!
Brandi, YOU are MY hero! I'm always so impressed with the cute things you do with your kids, and all the fun cooking that you do. I have a hard time motivating myself to bake, especially with the kids, so maybe I'll invite myself over and tag along with your projects. It will be like cupcake days all over again!
You can come over anytime, Amber! We're always cooking something.
Brandi, you need to do these fun things as a business. You could make loads of money from home. You could call it a kids krafts day or something fun. Get a group of 8-10 preschool aged kids and teach them a craft and make something yummy. If you did it one day a week for two hours, I bet people would pay you $50/month. If you had 10 kids, that's $500 of fun, easy money. I would TOTALLY sign my kids up! You're so fun and creative.
